The India-UK Tech Summit 2016 is Jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi And Theresa May in New Delhi.
The Summit is being organised by the Department of Science and Technology and CII, and it demonstrates the importance and expanse of science and technology cooperation in India-UK partnership.
At the summit, government officials, business leaders and scientists will engage to see how best S&T collaboration could be leveraged to open up new opportunities for bilateral business, trade and investment. New initiatives on deepening science and technology collaboration between India and UK will be announced at the Summit.
The focus sector will be, Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics: Life sciences & healthcare and smart cities.
The other tracks of the summit will be Higher Education, Design, Intellectual Property, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The UK is known for its strength in technology and innovation. India offers vat opportunities through its markets,skilled human resources and competitive economic environment.
